Michelle Cashman

Michelle Cashman’s music is reminiscent of the waters returning to the ocean at the inlet—sometimes serene, sometimes wild, always full of beauty and depth. At times, her voice floats over melody with quiet grace; at others, it becomes a riptide, surging and roaring, threatening to swallow you whole.

Imagine Jason Isbell's introspection delivered with a feminine elegance, a powerful fusion of folk storytelling and Americana grit. Michelle's songs walk the line between reverence and confession. There's a longing in her songs that echoes Leonard Cohen, a deep calling to turn the broken into something beautiful. Marked by the scars of wreckage and survival, yet delicately woven with threads of hope, her music is both a refuge and a reckoning.

Born and belonging to the wild beauty of the New South Wales South Coast, where dense bushland meets the sea, Michelle’s journey has been one of resilience, spirituality, and deep emotional truth. Her music, rich with themes of self-worth, healing, and belonging, acts as both compass and sanctuary for those finding their way home to themselves. With a voice that holds both strength and tenderness, she weaves melody and meaning into something that lingers long after the last note fades.

Michelle’s most recent acoustic album 'Grace' was featured as ABC Country's album of the week in 2023.
