Rest. Clarity. Purpose. Joy.
Hi, I’m Michelle.
I love helping people build a kinder relationship with themselves
through music, mindfulness, movement and creativity.
I believe our stories matter — and that when a story no longer fits, we have the capacity to write a new one.
My work supports people to understand themselves more deeply, soften their inner world, and reconnect with what matters. Sometimes that happens through a song. Sometimes through a practice. Sometimes through learning something new and discovering you’re more capable than you thought.
You’ll find a range of ways to work with me here. Take your time and explore what feels supportive.
About Michelle
Michelle Cashman’s work weaves music, mindfulness and creative practice to support self-connection and healing.
Her music — rooted in folk and Americana storytelling — carries the emotional honesty of lived experience. Sometimes gentle, sometimes fierce, it holds space for grief, resilience and hope. For many, her songs are the doorway into deeper self-understanding.
Alongside her music, Michelle works with mindfulness, movement and creative practices to support nervous-system regulation, self-worth and embodied awareness. Her approach is grounded, compassionate and practical — shaped not only by training, but by walking her own long road of rebuilding, listening, and learning to be kinder to herself.
Based on the New South Wales South Coast, where bush meets ocean, Michelle creates spaces — through songs, classes, workshops and retreats — that invite people to soften, reconnect and remember who they are beneath the noise.
Her work is not about fixing what’s broken, but about meeting yourself with honesty, courage and care — and discovering that something beautiful can grow from there.
“Michelle’s music is full of heart and soul. Her songs bring us comfort, let us embrace a bittersweet memory, or stand beside us while we fight our demons.
After listening to Michelle’s music our hearts always feel a bit lighter, our trials easier to bear. ”

Music
I’ve been writing songs since I was fourteen years old. It’s always been like musical therapy. Every lyric encapsulates my experiences, emotions, observations and invaluable life lessons. My Americana inspired folk and alt. country songs are like melody-filled journal entries, each marking distinct chapters of my life.
Blog
I explore and write about topics that are crucial to my own healing and development, such as childhood trauma, recovery, resilience, and personal growth. My blog serves as a space for me to share the knowledge I gain through ongoing research and learning. Here, you'll find resources I've created, stories from my life, and the songs that underscore my personal journey.

Trauma plants its roots deep within our psyche, growing like an unchecked weed that shadows every corner of our emotional garden. It's not the kind of plant you nurtured or wished for—it's an invader, sprung from seeds sown by circumstances beyond your control. Childhood trauma, that unwelcome visitor, can loom over you, casting a long shadow across many facets of adult life. But what if you could confront this formidable presence in your garden?
